engine alignment

i would like some suggestions on getting my 350 to line up with the splines on my tranny. i fought it for 4 hours yesterday and took it to the local dealer who has fought it for 2 hours with no luck. please help!!!

Did you count the splines on both ends. Did you count the splines on both ends??? do it twice and measure the outside and inside diameter from the engine and transmission. I had a similiar problem with a rear axle. GM make some just a hair smaller or larger than others even with the same spline count.
