Programming Keyless Entry

How do program a key fob for 1994 pontiac transport van? The dealer wants far too much.

I need an answer quick. How do you re-program the keyless entry?

The fob cannot be programmed. When you need to replace a fob, the receiver gets reprogrammed to accept the code of the new fob, thus rendering the old fobs useless. I discovered this when I lost 1 of my fobs and asked for a replacement. After I received the new fob, my wife tried to use her original one to open car and it would not work. After much troubleshooting I went back to dealer and was told the receiver has been programmed for the new fob code.

Re: Programming Keyless Entry

Where can I buy new FOBs (dealer price is outrageous) for a 1993 Transport?

I understand the receiver needs to be programmed (not the FOBs) but don't have the proceedure. Can anyone help with that? Is there another FOB that will work for the 93 Transport? the originals are crap.

Thanks -
