MAP Sensor

Mine displayed simular problems. I have 90 lx 2.3l and it kick stalled sputtered. I bought the ford diag tool from autozone, 39.00 , and it said map sensor. map sensor was 45.00 .. I put it in and she never stalled, or sputtered since..

His car has a MAF setup, which doesn't have a MAP sensor (as far as I know, but it has been a LONG time since i've worked on a non-carb'ed or a non-F.A.S.T. car). Try cleaning off the MAF sensor and the IAC.

i don't know much about cars, and this same thing happened on my 1995 Jetta. When in idle, the car would putter and you could feel it shake a bit, how a car does right when you are on the border of stalling. It never stalled, but it felt like it was just about to. The problem ended up being that we needed new spark plug wires (don't know the technical name for them). The ones we had were old (the car had probably like 70,000 miles or more on it) and after we replaced them, problems solved.
