should i just build my own custom exhaust, cause wyoming doesnt have emissions. and if so how should i do it? solid 3" all the way out? or 3" into an apex-i N1 muffler. your thoughts and info would be apprecieted.

Building your own exhaust is badass. I Saved a ton of cash, and its done the way I want. I dont care about stainless either, so I was able to weld it all myself. Check out the thread on www.racingknowledge.org for the details. I wrote a pretty thorough expalnation of what I did, with tons of pics. You may have to search to find it, its from last november. If the pics no longer work, I'll try to get a VFAQ of some sort up on www.posracing.net.

lol thats what its all about. Our cars could be broken down with parts falling off it, but we still drive them to work everyday and take it to the track

Alright after some deliberation here is my plan, RRE short DP, build my own TP, aluminized 3" steel exhaust, dynomax 3" I/O ultraflow welded muffler and some mandrel bent 45's.

I was also thinking about a custom exhaust but what does the fabrication shop need to know about the exhaust system? I have a 99 GST and would like something like a thermal R&D or apexi n1 setup but how should i tell them that or would they even know?

i would build one similar to mine, except use an n1 muffler if you want, oh and use the FWD RRE DP. short or long what ever you prefer. good luck.

Wrapping the exhaust has advantages, but it causes some premature corosion. In fact, header companies typically wont hnor a warranty if it was wrapped for that reason.

Your set boost wont be affected, but creep, or the tendency to do so, will go up. Especially if you dont use a cat. for example, on my car with the 14b. With a BR 2.5" turbo back with high flow cat would creep to 18 psi. With a test pipe, it went up to 22 So be prepared to take some counter measures (porting).
