Angry Muther F***ers Just Tried To Steal My Headlights!!!!

God Damn! 4:30 in the afternoon in broad daylight in my company's parking lot. The balls on these people.

(Description of the deed has been removed to protect the innocent and unstolen)

Luckily, they got scared off before they took them.

Im gonna remove my fog lights and replace them with flamethrowers connected to the alarm. Next time they bust in the hood, they'll get their legs burned off. bastards.

That really sucks man... Ive heard the H.I.Ds on 02 and later maximas are too easy to steal.. Come across any good ways to prevent them from popping the hood as I have an 02 myself.

That is if you were going to do something else besides the flamethrowers.

just to make you guys all aware of this...the more people talk about stolen HID's, the more people know about stolen HID's. sooo, less talk in this case= a good thing for protection those who have them. not trying to be a dick, i'm just saying it's a good idea to leave this topic alone as much as possible, an not give people ideas

I sorta agree and sorta disagree with this one.

It's all over the newspapers, police bulletins, and the evening news about how HIDs are the hot new thing to steal. If anybody is gonna go out and steal HIDs, It's not because they read that it happened to one person on a forum. It'll be because they know there is a high demand.
If anything, talking about it on the forums raises peoples awareness that HID theft is a big problem and that they should protect their cars more because of it (suggestions include: park it in a garage, behind a gated driveway, or park the front end close to a wall or fence to make access more difficult)

Now, why I agree: after reading Thrashers post, I decided it would be better if I left out the description of how established HID theives are stealing them (You'll notice I removed the description already from my original post). People are gonna steal HIDs either way, but I shouldn't spell out exactly how to do it for them.

this is the price of admission for an entry level luxury car from a non-luxury manufacturer...nissan thinks it isn't their problem. no more nissan's for me, Infiniti makes 6 speeds now!

Did he mention how much the replacements were? (Not including any damage to the hood, etc.)
My insurance deductible is $1000, just wondering how much replacing the HIDs would set me back since insurance would only cover anything above the deductible.
