Civic/CRX OT FORUM! Please READ!!!

the civic/crx forum tops as one of the most active forums at af. some people are here because the enjoy af as a whole and some come strictly for the civic/crx family. there is a lot of OT so the OT thread was created. yet there are still thread being made with subject lines "OT:" then shouldn't it be in the OT THREAD? the other day BLU CIVIC made a thread about the VMA's. it wasn't anything about civic or crx. yet he felt it was more important than the OT thread. i felt kinda bad it was locked...which gave me a REALLY KICK ASS IDEA!

there is power in numbers. igor has given us a great place to call home and has tried to cater to everybody's needs....asking nothing in return. at this point in time af needs another server (we alone consume A LOT of the current server). here's the idea:

when af gets a new server, we get our own Civic/CRX OT FORUM

here is where the power in numbers counts. the more people who donate, the quicker we get our own ot forum. it's not exactly a case of everybody donate $50....but it would help a lot more if everybody dug deep and contributed at least $5+. time for the civic/crx whores to join in and kick the shit out of the donation count down

ps...please, nobody ask to be a mod. GTA and myself both feel ci5ic & marked001 should be assigned those spots

Hell yeah that's great, I donated $25.00, When I get paid friday I plan on donating more. It would be great if AF got another server. AF needs it.SO EVERYONE DONATE!

this is why IGOR kicks some serious ass...he didn't say how much. he said we can have the OT forum as soon as the new server is up. no strings. i feel since we already take up so much space and we would like to take up more space...we should use the power of the number of people who frequent here.

there are approx. 95 names on the member's list at the civic site. that isn't even close to the number of people who stop by here daily...but let's go with that number.
95 people donate $5 = $475. not bad.
95 people donate $10 = $950 better
95 people donate $15 = $1425 starting to make a difference
95 people donate $25 = $2375 now we're kicking some ass

that is just with 95 people. there are MORE here. i say let's do some damage

Well for the whole new server we need $7,000 and right now we have about $518. So as for the whole, we need 14 times more than we have now. Like LadyNRedSI is saying, we have a TON of members in here, so if we could all donate just a portion of what we have, we can have this new server and our own 4th gen OT. (we wouldn't have to put up with taranaki in this OT )
Of course we all know that some of us can't donate $20, so that's where everyone needs to help. If you donate $5, that's awesome and it will help out the server. So give it a thought and maybe put off buying those new graphics and stickers that you've been wanting and help us get a new server.

Anyways, I think it's kinda dumb to have our own OT forum... Why not just hang out at COT (Completely Off Topic forum).

peeps, we prolly have like 1000 members in this forum alone, if everyone gave 5, then we will have 5g by ourselves, now everyone donate 5bux more, we have 10g a new server and our CRX OT section.

because it seems some people care to share opinions and views on OT subjects with other civic/crx owners vs. the general population. i moved a couple of OT threads to the COT forum and recieved a lot of heat. the basic reply i got was: if i wanted it there, i wouldn't have posted it here. i gave up and since then things have been locked and people encouraged to use the OT thread. it is apparent due to the volume of people and not everybody being tech (which is fine, different strokes for different folks) that we could use another forum.

a lot of "general" tech questions and topics get skipped because it falls to the bottom so quickly. this leave frustrated people who asked the questions and pissed off people who are here to talk 88-91 civic/crx....not what someone with a civic/crx did last night. we can have a general forum and the OT. in OT people can post pics of their cars or whatever. rather than locking all these threads that are being started...they can be moved to OT forum. then everbody is happy.

if you're a tech person....make a donation and move the whores to the other side of the fence.

if you're a whore...make a donation to get a civic/crx specific forum where OT threads won't be locked

i agree i prefer posting in this forum, because i kinow of all you and dont venture off too much in this site, so i prefer to post in the crx forum as opposed to the COT forum, like my movie reviews, i posted them once in COT and everyone like hated me for it, so i post it here instead.
