SL2 Valve Cover Gasket Replacement

We've had a 1996 SL2 sedan for a little over a year and other than cosmetic blemishes and our kids accidentally tearing the visor fabric it's a great car for the price. It's a hair shy of 100k.
I just noticed that the valve cover gasket is pretty well shot and may have been the flexible gunk in a tube kind of repair done by a previous owner. So it's time to replace it and I would appreciate any help with the tourque specs, torque sequence and problems I may run into from someone who has done it before.

One more thing, what are your preferences if any for plug wires and spark plugs. I figure I may as well change them while I'm at it. Currently Bosch wires and AC Delco plugs.

Thanks in advance.

Not that anybody reads this forum or anything, but just incase somebody happens to stumble upon this:

The torque spec is 89 in/lbs. Inch, not foot pounds.
I was unable to find a torque sequence.
Here's what I used:

2 9 5
8
11 1 7
6
4 10 3

If you can follow that diagram.

All in all, it was no big deal. Gasket ran me $33, torque wrench $20 from advance auto parts.

While I was there, I ripped out the resonator and restrictive tubing from inside the air box, that made a huge difference for enjoyment of driving.

i currently have a 92 sl2 and am looking to up the fun(so to speak) butmy problem is i am in college and have limted funds are there any little minor details that will give me more punch and fun to drive?
i have already replaced the plugs with ngk and have 8mm wires, would a K&N air filter be worth the price/power ratio?
Also i am looking for any body parts that can make my car slightly import-ish looking but not crazy like fast and furious stuff, does anyone know where i can find anything? so far the only body parts i found was an entire lower set from Xenon but i only have 2 arms and 2 legs and i need all of them i can keep.

some people like to use the gasket, on older saturns, black rtv silicone is reccomended (pre 96 i think)

i have the manual so ill get you the lb specs and sequence if you want. let me know if you havent done this yet.

by the way plugs and wires no matter what you buy are not going to wield you any power, sometimes people claim power gains because they had old wires and plugs that were worn and not conducting very well and when they replaced them with expensive wires they claim a huge difference. i personally bought accel 8mm wires because they came in blue and they were cheap, i use a/c delco plugs.

if you drive a saturn only use ngk v power plugs or a/c delco, most other plugs will cause problems. as for wires..there are some that cause interference with the radio, stick with oem or other brands that people have used and reccomend without problems.

wires+plugs

if i were you i would use bosch platinum +4 spark plugs and bosch 7mm wires, thats what i have in my saturn, it not only gave me a boost in power, but also increased my gas mileage, thats what i would recomend, and this is from experience, the only thing is that the plugs will run you about 6 bucks a plug, but its well worth it

trust me man, the wires and plugs didnt give you any more power than stock ones wouldve...you probably had some worn/old wires and or plugs and by replacing them with those you got the car back up to where it used to be...where you got a power gain, but not any more than stock.

bosch platinum 4's are wierd on saturns...they either work great or suck ass. there have been many mixed reviews on those plugs. seems like some saturns like them and some dont.
