Hello,
I have a 1992 Lesabre Limited with the digital automatic climate control. I replaced the factory radio with an aftermarket one. My problem is that at night, the digital display does not dim, so it's extremely bright. Everything else seems to work….dash, door lights etc. I have the wiring diagram that shows a wire going from the climate control to the radio. When I look at my replacement harness, the wire is there but it is plugged into a slot with no wires. It seems like the dimmer circuit is in the Delco radio. Is there any way of getting around this? |

i have the same problem with my 1990 lesabre. My radio is a little different in that it has two wires going to the radio for the dimmer circuit. I thought about measuring the resistance of the dimmer circuit and placing a resistor of the same value in the two wires from the climate control to the radio to complete the circuit. I havnt tried it yet, but when i do i'll let ya know if it worked. Hopefully i wont screw my car up!
