2jz-Gte swap?

I was wondering if a 2jz-Gte would be able fit in a 97-98 240sx, inline-6 just like the rb26dett or rb25det, anyone heard of anyone doing this kind of swap? The engine would be easier to obtain here in the U.S. but I don't know of anyone swapping that engine in.

well the RB26DET is a 2.6 and the 2zj-gte is 3.0 right? so it be longer i assume and the RB26DET is one heck of a job to wedge in to start so i doubt it be worth it. But ANYTHING can be done with $$$

Yea that definitely sounds like a pain in the ass for the average Joe. Sounds like a hurting bank account as well

Sorry for the off subject but heres where I come in handy. They say get your own rb26dett and then pay an extra 8k to 9k just for them to instal it when I am advertizing 8k or 9k swap price including the motor. Please dont sucker to them guys.

yea a few of the things they said are shady, including not being able to build up an rb26dett to over 1000hp. i have heard of a skyline having 1300hp, so i know it's possible.

DO IT! it can be done, and how many people can say hey have a 2jz gte in a 240sx? plus just think, it comes with more horsepower than a RB26DETT, for a couple grand more, and would be super easy to find parts for, but it would just be plain sweet to have, I say go for it if your bank account is big

definately possible. look at victor broushet's car. thats the one mynismo was talking about. he originally had a 2jz in there. approx 900 hp. ran mid 8's with it. he swapped it out for a rb26 though due to new drag rules stating that the engine must be from the same car manufacturer. enjoy

he has to have ground clearance when he wheelie's....

i think that's the one i've seen. i highly doubt someone else would mod it up to 8's...

but it doesn't come with more hp than a rb26... they both have 280hp. actually the rb26 comes with about 310-320hp, they had to lie and say it was 280hp for laws when building the car. so the rb26 has a better base.

if i were to choose between the two i'd definately take the rb26 setup.

are you on crack?

get out of here. it's a freakin super 240. i would have rather seen him do that to an rb26 but it's still awesome.
