I am a young lady who recently went out and bought a 1990 300 zx 2+2 with TT's. I am stumped this car is in a state that has always required a front and back plate however I can't find the holes in the front bumper and it has NOT been repainted nor is there a bracket to put one on. If anyone has a 1990 that could give me advice on where this is suppose to be mounted and how I would come about finding a plate holder for that model I would greatly appreciate it. I have to say with all the cars I have ever owned I honestly don't think there is a car out there that fits my body so nicely for being a tiny person I don't have to reach for anything it's all right there I really like it. Although I can't figure out the locking system or how to get the antena to go up it worked the first day I bought it now it won't go up so I'm thinking it's operator error. If anyone has any advice please e-mail me.

Re: Need help on 1990 300 zx 2+2
Now I see why she hasn't posted again.
Anyway, the locking system is easy. Just press the lock on the drivers door. Both doors will lock. As for the antenna, it's automatic. At least, it should be. As long as the radio is on, it should go up. Assuming it is a stock radio. If aftermarket, the wire that feeds power for the antenna to go up from the stereo might have come disconnected. Then there's the possiblity that the power antenna itself just doesn't want to work anymore. I've gone through about 3 antennas as we speak. The car came stock with a bracket that screwed into the slit in the front bumper. That bracket held the license plate. If your car doesn't have that bracket, you should try and have someone fabricate one for you or try your local Nissan dealer. They might be able to order you one. I'm not sure if they're still available though. |
