power windows problem

I have a 2003 SR5 V8 sport and have a problem with all my power windows (sunroof, driver window and rear)

All these windows have an "auto" feature which will power the window up or down with one click, well the problem I am having is intermittently the auto feature will stop working but the power will continue to work.

For example the sunroof will still open and close but not automaticly, you are required to hold the button down and press hard too.
The same with the driver window, it will not automaticly go down or up-you need to hold the button

The dealer could not fix this becasue by the time I brought it in the problem seemed to fix itself. This has happened twice now and no one seems to know what to do. It doesn't help that the dealership I bought it from has a terrible service dept.
