Unhappy Have To Have A Softer Ride !!

My Hyundai Santa Fe has 50,000kms and runs flawlessly. The problem is me!! I suffer from spinal stenosis resulting from several compressed fractures in my back (broke it 4 years ago). I have to have a vehicle that I can sit upright in hence a van or SUV. In the last six months the pain from this condition has become much worse and I feel the ride is much too stiff as I am feeling the road vibration all the time and it increases the pain level considerably. I have the original tires P225/70R 16 BF Goodrich.

The question is - is there a tire out there that will give me reasonable handling but a softer ride - or do I bite the bullet and go back to a van? Would really appreciate some help.

Bob

The original tire on your vehicle the BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A rides fairly well so there's no significant improvement made by switching to another tire, best to switch to a van as most of what you're experiencing is due to the vehicle design.

Re: Have To Have A Softer Ride !!

In your case it might well be the best to get a used Buick or similar domestic town car...
