Starting problems

Hi everyone,

I have been having problems starting my 96 Maxima in the morning time for the last 3 years.I have not able to fix it even after taking it to Nissan for a check up.I have replaced the fuel pump, gas regulator, oxygen sensor, but still the same problem. The car takes a good 10 tries to start in the morning when it's been sitting cold.Once the car is warm or has been used the problem with the starting it goes away. Can the cold start injector be a possible cause in this case?Any suggestions?

My thanks to all in advance
Christian S

I have a 93 nissan maxima with 199,000 miles on it. I have had this same problem over the last couple of years as well. Can't seem to figure it out, have you found a solution to your problem.?

Thanks. please respond back.!

I just began experiencing the same "cold Start" problem. Car has benn running great until a couple of days ago when the weather turned extremelly cold.

Has anyone figured out a possible solution?

Thanks in advanced.

It is possible the ground in the transmission is corroded and need to be cleaned up. I had this problem recently with extended cranks in my Max and I had the ground cleaned and it runs like a top now. Problem is you have to have the tranny pulled out because the ground is inside where it mates with the motor. This is just a possibility I thought I throw out there for you guys since I had the same symptoms. Good luck!
