Mid 90's 240's with Headlights & Trunks

I'm confused. I'm a old time Datsun/Nissan fan. I had 280's in the past and plan to buy a Nissan 240 from the mid 1990's. The problem I;m having is what exact name and years am I looking for to get a Nissan 240 with the trunk and front headlights. I don't want the hatchback with retractable headlights. From what I could find, I'm looking for 1995-1998 240 SE not 1989-1994SX's. Is this correct? The searches I did with pictures & specs have some inconsistencies.

Also any tech advice would be nice (any better years than others).
My goals are:
-year round daily driver
-70% Autocross (Solo I)
-25% amature dragracing
-5% amature rally
-fully adjustable suspension
-seam welds, full cage
-mostly bolt on, plus cams, gears, and maybe tranny change
-most likely no turbo or supercharger
-no NOS but DEI Cryo 2, and detailed engine management
-no showing off, strickly clean racer and daily driver

from 89 to 94 the 240sx is the S13 model. 94 was convertible only. those years are the ones with the retractable headlights, but they also came in Coupe version aswell with a trunk.

u are lookin for a 95+ version, which is called the S14. they also went thru a slight exterior change, with the first models being rounded off, and the second being more aggressive looking. u will notice the difference if someone can post some pics.

I noticed some with flatter headlights and better looking ones with slanted headlights on the 240 registry. I assume the slanted eye ones seem to be later models.

correct, thats the change i was talking about that was more noticeable.. except, i dont like s14's much, so i havent even read like a single information page on them. , which is why i didnt list the year that the change happened, cause i forgot

hey, i have a 90 240sx with bolt-ons and suspension upgrades, and i want to get something else soon, so it's for sale. but it's a hatchback..... but after many comments and everything else people like s13 hatchbacks. they look better than the s14's...

mine looks really good... but its not too flashy. very dependable.

I really like it, but I'm a diehard Skyline fan. I love the personality of Nissan's 2 door sport sedan look...

the wifey and I where thinking of getting R32 from Motorex, but we decided that it would be to much of a burden. Payin $20,000 for a 15 year old car on a medium income, 2 kids and a new 9but old) house wouldn't work well. LOL so I have to stick to a domestic Nissan. Gotta have RWD!!

i want 5000 if you want it on stock rims and i'll even put on a brand new mandrel bent exhaust if you dont like the big one i have on right now. roughly 90-95k on engine and body (since odo sticks). auto.

ok 95-98 is what your looking for, the 97 and 98 are the ones you said have slanted headlights that you like better, I agree the slanted lights look nice, the reason you may see inconsistencies when you search is because some people ruin the beautiful S13 (hatchbacks or coupes) 89-94 by doing what is call a sil-80 conversion or the sort, as in putting a silvia front end on them, the nissan silvia is basically the newest version of a 240sx if you didn't know, I belive they started in 99 right when the 240's stop but I could be wrong, I think they still are making them as well, but again I'm not sure. those are just awsome, if you have the money you may want to search on those because they resemble the S14 like your saying you want but with much more beauty, although you'd have to import one unless you could possibly be lucky enough to find one in the states, but anyways if you have anymore questions just post them up and either I or someone else will know the answer and will help you out.

Oh yeah by the way older 240's do look like old Probes. But they're nissan's so that makes it better! No disrespect though. I have old issues of C&D and R&T where they are comparing them because of thier simular looks. They bashed the non-turbo Probes so bad, lol. Nissan rock!

it's an Apexi N1 Dual Catback exhaust. it's pretty loud stock, i have silencers on mine and it sounds great. it goes for about $599+shipping.

i will have new pictures in my profile just as soon as it stops raining over here! the pictures in my profile don't do any justice. my car looks way cooler in real life
