MPFI swap Problems

Hi,

My MPFI swap is done.
However the car idles way too high at 2000 RPM.
So I tried adjusting the cable and idler screw.
Didnt affect it any.
So I looked behind the MPFI intake manifold and saw 3 holes where air was being sucked in.
I put a pice of metal over those holes with 2 10mm screws.
It holds it in place, and it now idles perfect at 900-1000 RPM.
Not 2000 RPM.
But the car still wont rev past 3000 RPM.

I read somewhere that I am missing the
"Fast Idle Control Solenoid Valve"
Its supposed to have a hose from that im missing on the manifold.
Also, when driving I have no power whatsoever.
My car is slower than b4 with the DPFI.
Please help me ASAP!
Thanks A Lot.

yes, I checked them and they are.
I musta wired the injectors and the dizzy correctly if it runs, correct?
I am missing the Fast Idle Solenoid Valve.
cause they are threads where 2 10mm screws fit perfectly into.
I was reading you are suppsoed to have one, in order to run.
Do you have one, on the back of your intake manifold?
this goes from the Purge solenoid to the small port next to the EACV on the back of the manifold
Cause as soon as I cover those holes up the idling goes to a nice idle.
Not a 2000 RM idle.
Thanks

The fast idle thing you are talking about has a plug coming off it right?
Where does this go to?

I think my intake manifold is missing that piece. It is called the Fast Idle Solenoid Valve.
It is supposed to be right behind the intake manifold. I think it has a hose that goes to it also.
There are 3 holes 2 of them are for 10mm bolts and i guess the one in the middle is for the solenoid.
According to a repair manual I read it says:

Fast Idle Solenoid Valve
is used to increase air flow for fast idling at extremely low ambient temperatures.

Im gonna take a trip to the scrapyard hopefully Monday if they are open and get that piece.
Hey if any of you guys could take a quick pic of behind the intake manifold on the MPFI one it would be greatly appreciated.
So I can see what the Fast Idle Solenoid Valve looks like.
Thanks
