(assuming 1/4 mile) If its a first generation 3000 then I give the nod to the Skyline. If its a second generation 3000 then the 3K has the slight edge. But the numbers on the cars are so close, the driver that can coax the most out of their car will come out in front.

What defines a 1st generation or a 2nd generation? The VR4 I'm getting is a 1991, what gen does that make it?

You are getting a first generation. The two differences are the (vs second generations) is that it has popup headlights, different side skirts, a few engine changes like a two bolt main vs a four bolt and the turbos are only boosted at about 9.5 from the factory instead of the 12 the newer ones have (hence the difference between the 300hp and the 320 hp). You can get a boost controller and safely take that to 14 psi.

Re: 3kgt vs skyline gtr

i own both a 97 r33, and 92 stealth tt, in a 1/4 the skyline, on a race circut, they both have advantages, r33 handling is great, the stelth is too, but down a long strait the stealth has the torque and the aero, they both have about 300hp

Come on man, this is freaking 6 years old. You've been here long enough to know not to bring these threads back up.

Reread the User Guidelines you agreed to when you joined. You've been warned about hijacking and whatnot before. Next time it's gonna be a temp ban.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.
