Big freaking deal...I don't get it. Hundreds of people die every day. What makes him so freaking special? He can sing songs and play some instruments? This whole celebrity thing is just dumb. We never hear about the heart surgeon who died that saved hundreds of lives in his life time.

I think the difference is that this guy was a hero to some people. Or an inspiration. There are heart surgeons out there who were inspirations or heroes to some, and when they died I'm sure those whom they inspired were sad, just like everyone is about George Harrison.. just my 2 cents

I have right to an opinion and stated such without name calling. I'll stand by my opinion that this was just a regular guy that happened to have fame. The media spoonfeeds you all this crap all the time you can't even see straight. What has Mr. Harrison ever done for me? Nothing. These people are no better than you or me. Those police and firemen who all died trying to rescue people out of the WTC were REAL heros. Give each of them a day long tribute! Not all as a group. All this celeberty fund rasing and crap for it is so goddamn trasparent it makes me sick! I'll stand by my opinion thank you very much.
