Some features temporarily disabled

Some features on the message board have been temporarily disabled to ease the server load.

They include:

• Removal Redirection Message Pages
• Thread Views updated hourly rather than immediately
• Memberlist advanced search disabled
• Image attachment thumbnail generation disabled
• Search engine limited to 200 results
• Logged in users and today's birthdays disabled on index page
• Users browsing forum list disabled
• Highlighting threads with a 'dot' in which a user has participated - disabled

They will be re-enabled as soon as possible.

Have those changes made much of an impact? I haven't noticed a difference from my end yet.

has the image upload been temp. disabled also

The built-in attachment system is a good alternative to the upload feature that is currently disabled.

The best thing to do right now is donate donate donate

I am thinking a totally separate low-end server (a third one) may be better for hosting user images.

So as of now, there is no date as to when the uploading will be turned back on - hopefully once the 2nd server is in place.

i can see af growing greatly, soon igor u will own a build in times square or something, Automotive Forums Tower and it will just be one big building full of servers with your office on the first floor
