Question Install a Tach on 89 Blazer

Hey Everyone,

I want to install a tach on my blazer. I was hoping to go to a wrecker and grab a dash with a tach built in ( if one exists ). Does anyone have any idea of what I would need to add ( besides the dash ).

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Allan

Yes there are dashes that have a Tach in them. Although rare try looking in an LMC magazine. To order a magazine go to LMC.com The prices are kindda expensive. If you find one at the junk yard make sure you get the printed circuit on the back of the dash insert, otherwise it may not work with your current circuit.
You will need to get the smaller fuel guage. The size of the oil or temp guage, and move it. If you have a empty panel.

The rpm wire gos to the dist. If its HEI then there is a place that says Tach just plug it in and it should read accurately.
