completely horrid, chaos altogether

wow, i have to tell u guys about this. to begin, a few days ago i was driving around at night and i pulled up to a stoplight. i am at the front of the line across the street i see this other car pull up at the light. immediately i notice those stupid washer nozzle LED lights and i just shake my head . secondly, i notice the headlights...it was a SUPRA (that should not be legal, and since it has been done-that moron should be shot.) of course that is my opinion, although many here would agree with me.

now, onto something that happened today. again, i am at a stoplight and i see this red Kia driving past me, but this took a second to register in my brain...the car had a banner on it-the banner said and i quote, "Spoiled". this is not a joke, please proceed upon your daily life adventure, do not attempt to find this person and shoot them. IF this person is found, please proceed with caution (that are probably quite insane)

Spoiled?

HA, how does a Kia count as being spoiled? You can buy a new Kia for like $64 plus Tax.

That reminds me: lately I have seen an epidemic of Saturn SCs with 19" wheels. I'm surprised they still GO with that kind of rotational mass!

When I took a coworker shopping for cars, we were at the Ford dealership test-driving a 2002 Escort. (Crappiest. Car. Ever.) The salesman was BRAGGING that he liked Escorts so much, he had bought his wife 3 over the last decade! And she's still with him?!?!

My colleague bought a 2001 Sentra, which she LOVES, and 3 weeks after buying it, a postal truck ran into the passenger side of her car. So she's been in a rental Cavalier for the past 2 weeks whilst the damage is repaired. Her comment: "I can't believe I have to unlock the car with a KEY!!" I agree.

$64? They're overpaying by at least 50%

Well, with Dealer markup and delivery costs... and licensing fee's... it all works out.

At the end of the day you're lucky if you can walk off that lot with out spending more than $75 on a new car.

Hmmm, must be a fully loaded what is it now... Sophia?

As for the rice sightings, I just give up. The number of people thinking a set of 19's, A Maxwell House tin can, 6 feet of Sheet Aluminium (Have to keep the weight down) and lights that could put a runway to shame seem to multiply daily and worsen with every new example. At first I coudl understand it, sure customization, taking a stocker and putting your own touch on it. Now it's just... words can't describe the stupidity, and I call it stupity and feel the term is more than justified. Peopel add senseless items WITHOUT shame thinking they have creeated something others and at the least they can take pride in. Sorry, you can't and shouldn't be allowed to.

The bottom line is, it can't be called individualization at this point. The individuals are those people factory cars. The whole idea of ipmort customization for the most part is just IMO bad taste on wheels that I'm constantly subjected to.

* Just so I don't offend those who love cars done right, by Import I'm talking Civics and Accents that shouldn't have been messed with.

I may be reading you wrong, but are you saying Civics shouldn't be hooked up?

This reminds me of a girl w/ an Eclipse that used to be on here - she had maybe 5 mods, all mass-produced of course, and yet claimed that the car was her "creation". Yeah, Mitsubishi spends years designing the thousands of parts that make up a car, then you slap on 5 aftermarked manufactured bits and it's "your creation"? My ass.

Ok my find was last week at the mall-this guy pulls into the parking lot in a Ford Focus hatchback with a carbonfiber hood that sticks out at least 2 inchs off where the hood normally goes, no front body work-side skirts that are screwed on, how do I know? 4 screws screwed through the sheet metal of the skirts into the body of the car. The rear had a body kit bumper, but no sign of any exaust pipes?? Where were they, still had factory stock that was under the rear body panel-funny shit-but on top of it all he had a Focus This! banner on the rear glass! OMG I could not stop laughing for 15 minutes....

Gotcha. It gives people like me with a clean, fast Civic a bad rep.

He might not have, but I will.. let's see here..

'98 Civic.. sell it for what? Say five to six grand?

Take that $5000. Buy yourself a car that isn't FWD with a dinky engine, and "hook up" that car. You don't even spend any money, just take the $$ you got from selling the Civic. I swear.. people that "hook up" their Civics (for anything besides the sleeper effect) are about the same as people who "hook up" Geo Metro's.
