Six-Way Electric Seat Rails and Motors Question

I have a 99 Tahoe with electric-driven front seats. Is the rail and motor assembly from the passenger side interchangable with the assembly on the driver's side? The motor assemblies for each side appear to be located next to the seat control buttons. If a move the passenger rails to the driver's side, will the controls continue to work appropriately?

Absent and answer, does anyone have a set of driver's side rails and motors for sale?

I just changed the seat rail on my 1996 Yukon. It is my understanding the rails are not interchangable from one side to the other. The dealer get about $485 for each rail. They are made by a division of Johnson Controls and a friend was able to get me one for 100 bucks. Try the internet and search for automotive seat rails. You should be able to find one there. The other option is to go to a motor home manufacturer. They use the same part manufacturers as the big 3.

Thanks for the reply. I've tried several salvage yards. Was not aware of the mobile home option. May try Johnson Controls to see where they distribute the rails.
