how to launch a 2nd gen turbo eclipse?
I have a 97 eclipse GST and everytime i race i launch it at 3000 rpm and almost all of the time my wheels never catch and i end up peeling off at first gear and some of second gear. Other time i don't launch it and just start regularly my car has that turbo lagg. I want to know how others who has GST launch their car and still can catch the tires.

I found that slowly releasing the clutch from 3500-4000 rpms, then gradually increasing the gas pedal gave me decent launches(oh the irony) with my FWD Talon. It was enough for 2.2 60's w/ regular street tires. It's a learning process. Find an empty desolate area & just practice launching & taking off. Good luck!

yea you have to find your sweet spot, mine use to be 3000rpms
but now i got new tires(225/24/17), clutch,LSD and engine mounts I need to find it again. it bogs at 3000rpms, spin tires at 3500 so its somewhere between 3000 and 3500 for me
