B18C1 in crx
hey guys. i was doin some research, and was just thinking about doin all this. i think it's a pretty good idea. just wanna hear what you guys think.
JDM B18C1 in a crx. do all the upgrades for fuel management, what not and such. then probably slap a turbo on there. probably a T4/T60-1 from turbonetics or something. this should probably get me into the mid 12's, right? let me know what you guys think |

B18c1 is CTR engine right?...if so yeah man that would make a nice combo for the crx, I am all for crx's and hatchies with B18 and F/I. Good luck and let us know how it works out, and yeah you can prolly hit 12's make sure get some nice light wheels and gut the back. then you should be set

B18C1 is the GSR engine. i was probably goin to get the civic si rims. i like those a lot on a black crx. i don't wanna do anything too ricey. not to found of them. sorta wanna keep it a sleeper also.

the b16b is the CTR motor, the b18c1 is the GSR, anyway depending on how well you build up the motor and how much PSI it can handle, you should be able to hit the 12's in a crx.

Why would you want to use a fairly laggy turbo like a T4/60-1 when you only want to go 12's? And by laggy I mean lagging into the 5000+ RPM range. You'd go faster with something smaller like a T3/T04E because you'd be making boost sooner off the line, even if the 60-1 makes more power.

boosted, so your saying that the t4/t60-1 is too big of a turbo? if i got that turbo, what kinda times would i be running with that? thanks

if i got stronger rods and internals, do you think then i could handle the T4/T60-1. the stock compression ratio on a gsr is 10.2:1, i think. Max boost i could probably run with that would be like 9 psi, right?

i think the problem he is telling you about as well though is it wont spool up as fast as the smaller turbo on a little 4 cylinder engine. but ive heard 6-8 is safe for GSR, but if you are building the internals, might as well lower the compression a bit while you are in there, then put more boost.
