ODB2 conversion to ODB1

I have a 97 Honda Civic EX and I am trying to do a motor swap. I was gonna do the B16A1, but am finding too many problems with the cable to hydraulic conversion. So now I have decided on the B16A2. Is it possible to use the ODB1 computer from the engine to work with my 97 Civic. Has anyone dealt with these problems or can shed some light on the solutions.

b16a2 is the 99-00 si motor which is obd2. you are probably talking about the b16a sir2. the way you can use the obd1 computer is to get the skunk2 odb2-obd1 converter harness.
