McLaren F1 Owners Manual

Hi

I own a McLaren F1 owners manual which i am interested in selling, i have seen a thread previously regarding someone who had one advertised on e-bay but pulled it before the end of the auction.

I came by the manual as it was made by a member of my family who was employed by the company who had the contract to make all of the books.

I think, to make life easier for everyone and so that people have some come backs etc. i will be selling it via ebay on the UK site.

If anyone is interested, and i am happy to provide pictures to help people authenticate it please let me know

Not sure to be honest, one sold on ebay earlier today for £510, and apparently that was a 2nd as the cover had been put on the wrong way, i'm open to realistic offers

Well I just bought a new car, so realistically I can't offer you enough.

The copy of the F1 Owner's Manual that I saw recently on Ebay was well documented here on this forum when it was offered. As you saw from that thread, the auction ended seemingly with the item being pulled. I didn't see this latest offering which you are referring to, but I think the original one was not a "second". After following that original auction I think that $750 - $1000 would be a fair price for your item, but I also believe that it could probably command a higher price in a more specified arena than Ebay such as an automotive memorabilia auction. It will take the right buyer in the right situation to step up and pay more than that.

I'm certain I would enjoy flipping through an Owner's Manual, but it really wouldn't provide a lot of new information to me. Personally, for that amount of money, I find the 400pg limited edition of "Driving Ambition" a more appealing McLaren F1 related purchase.

Good luck selling your item. I would be interested to know if you have any other F1 related brochures or documentation.

Sorry, no interest. I already know how to operate a McLaren, and I have no intention of checking the pressure or filling the windshield washer bottle unless I buy one. If I do, I am sure it will come with a manual!

Re: McLaren F1 Owners Manual

Yea, but the Manual doesn't tell you which key operates which cell. :-)

McLaren F1 Owners Manual

Do you still have the manual? If so, I may be interested. I am from the U.S. (Chicago, IL). Have you ever determined a price?

Sorry, I think it was sold on eBay a while back. I forget the sale price but I think it was $1,500+
