I think this kind of stuff's funny, i've seen a lot crazier custom computer cases.

yeh i've seen stuff like that, its basically just to make it look better, apart from the liquid tank ones, which actually keep the computer cooler, then the computer fan. but they take up way too much room

I can't see the picture, but in my brothers mustang we built a custom carbon fiber computer case/enclosure whatever you want to call it for a pretty simple machine (P3 933, 1 gig of ram, 10 gig hardrive) that we use with a 7" touch-screen LCD mounted on top of the dash for datalogging and for gauge readouts like boost, injector pulse, vehicle speed, g-forces, TPS, timing, knock, RPM's, etc, and you can even use the touch screen to adjust boost, nitrous activation and change around some other stuff. Pretty slick setup. Only reason we didn't just use the screen right in the dash itself (in lieu of gauges) is we wern't sure how legal that would be, considering you're pretty much eliminating the odometer.

sorry but its hard to belive till i see pics of the whole setup...i want to see the computer hooked up to the ecu or piggyback, and all the equipement used to register the gforces, boost adjusting and all that

As well as the fact that there isn't a software package to do that.
