I was taking to Alistar Mcrae last week at the Rally Supercar Day in the UK
and he was taking more about the Colt being used next year instead of the Evo 8.
(I was just looking around the Mitsubishi stand while most peolpe were watching Russ Swift doing his stunt show and I realised I was standing next to him, so I had a chat.)

BTW is that tyre is coming off in the last photo

wow does your foot hurt coz you just dropped a big name, hahahahah.

i learnt to drive in a colt, they are funny, but i thought they only came in a 1.3l engine, would they just stick the evo engine in it? could be a cool car as i have seen some heavly modified colts b4 and they looked cool. but i still prefer evo.
did they ever make a model kit of the ford puma rally car?

Not that I know of. After having a rental for a week I fell in love with the little Puma, and had a good look around for kits afterwards. So far I've not found anything, although the 1/43 manufacturers may have released something more recently.

The reports on the WRC sites have usually suggested that if Mitsubishi return to WRC then they'll go with the Colt, but I should imagine they'll have a lot of testing to do before they commit to a decision.

Hiroboy, was that the Rally Day at Castle Combe? I was going to go but couldn't make it in the end. Shame I missed it!

Shows how mcuh he knows Mitsu have confirmed that they will continue using the Lancer - perhaps even start the season with the current car and have a new one ready for the summer. And Alister McRae won't be with Mitsubishi next year.

they said they use the Colt when they got out last year if i remember.

but now like ales says they will continue using the lancer.they allready settled 2 cars in the german rally for testing (evo VII's i think),with some young drivers to test for next year.i think both crashed, but can't remember exactly

Personally don't consider Alister that big a name.

A model of the Puma would be nice even if it were resin, they make a stunning little rally car.
