anyone with b16a jdm help!!!!!!!!!

hey everyone.. i have a 93 civic dx with a jdm b16a and its bone stock as of now... just threw on a filter to the stock intake tube... to me it seems like it lag's too pick up speed untill like 6,000 rpms then it moves more could there be something wrong here??? i just got the car could there be anything i could change on it maybe stuff is old on the motor? like plugs, wires, oilchange? if anyone could give me some ideas that would be helpfull.... i was thinking of getting aem cai/dcheader/and exhuast too see if that helps... but maybe something else is wrong... let me know please thanks...

so what coudl help out my torque????

aem cold air intake or aem short ram?

4-2-1 dc header or 4-1 dc header???


whata can i do to up my torque so it wont feel like it does now that its bone stock.... and i dont want "Fi" just so no one starts on that thanks

AEM cold air and DC sports 4-2-1. .4-1 gives you more top end power over all... 4-2-1 gives a better mid range than the 4-1.yea either way about it...they do lack low end torque.just leave it above 5000 RPM and call it good.

Why did you go through the trouble to put a motor in your car, and not change the plugs, wires, at LEAST the oil? anyway who knows why it seems to lag, because it's a 1.6 is bullshit, no it doesn't have torque like a Camaro, but then again it is much smaller displacment, but they still pull very well. The VERY FIRST thing you need to do is a tune up. Have you done a compression check? Do that then start worring about building it up.
