2003 Civic LX Non VTEC TURBO Help
Hey folks,
1st post here...Great site with tons of info. I have a few questions: I recently bought a 2003 Civic LX. I think it is the sohc 1.7 litre? Non V-Tec. I travel approx 180 miles round trip for work. I am looking for a turbo that will give this car extra oomph!!! It has absolutly no ass! Is there a kit out there for my car, and finally what type of reliability should I expect with a 5 pound boost. My 2000 Honda civic VP has 110,000 miles on it. Just to give you an idea. 180 miles round trip? Must be one hell of a payin' job.
Well...any car can be turbocharged. The only thing you would need custom made would be the header and downpipe. And even if they don't have a kit for your car yet, they probably will soon. 5 psi would be fine I'm assuming. Your fuel economy will depend on how you drive the thing.
