aftermarket cd deck install. help please

ok so heres the deal guys, i own a 94 camaro z28. i bought a kenwood mp-522 deck. i have arranged all the wires correctly (i think) and this is how it works. it turns on and i can listen to the radio just fine, but if i want to listen to a cd i can tell that it is reading the disc and that it is playing (the name of the song scrolls accross and it shows the duration of the song and so fourth) BUT I CANNOT hear it, there is no sound coming out of my speakers. but the radio works just fine. does anybody know a solution for this problem? thanks

if you are running an external amp with subs and all that you need to have rca cables hooked up from your deck to the amp, otherwise your cd player wont put any music to your amp, this sounds like your problem because in this case, the radio will work (and power will goto the subs) but when you switch over to a cd nothing will happen because there is no info going to the amp.
if this is your problem then hook up your rca jacks, there should be plugs on the back of your deck where they go, if they are not there (like my deck) you can buy plugs from your local stereo guy and they get wired into your rear speakers,
good luck

also with the amp you should make sure your bus line is hooked up as well and make sure you have 2 sets of rca cables comming off your amp if your running 2 subs if not you only need 1 set

u only need 1 set of rca cables per amp however many subs, speakers ect u choose to put on the amp is irrevelant, 1 set of rca cables comes with 2 jacks (one should be white and the other should be red) and they hook into the back of the deck where there should be two jacks also
