I have a 1979 firebird with a 301 ci. engine. How do i go about removing the oil pan? Is it difficult at all?

yes very hard, takes a few days, first have to lift the engine off the mounts, take the oil pump off then possibly the exhaust then snake the oil pan over the cross member
