Daily Driver

I was just wondering how many of you drive your crx's year round? And how bad the weather gets where you live. Because in wisconsin it gets pretty bad some days and i was wondering how i would get around in a crx that has a body kits and a good number of bolt ons. would the body kit be a very bad idea? and would the increase in horsepower be bad for winter driving?

I live right next to you in MN so i know that the weather gets pretty darn rough up here! I know that the increse of HP isn't that big of a deal for winter driving because my sister had a 94 integra supercharged with a custom exhaust and everything and it drove just fine in the winter, but i do know that she has a seperate set of wheels for winter driving. as far as the body kits and stuff, its prolly not gonna be the best thing to drive on in the snow n stuff, but i am gonna do it anyways!

i wouldnt be driving a lowered + kitted crx in the canadian winter.

u can always buy a pos tempo or something for winter. but if u just have city driving the rex might be ok.

Mine stays garaged during the winter. Massachusettes winters are fuckin awful. not just because of the snow.. but becuase of the constant salty high winds commin from offshore. Rust and snow are the enemy

My 91 Si sucks ass in the rain, let alone a couple inches of snow. The only times I have driven it in the snow is with High-performance summer tires - bad idea. Start out in 2nd instead of 1st for increased traction(less torques)

i used to drive my crx year round, but the rim/tire combo does not work well in the snow, so know ill only be taking the crx out on nice days, and the accord will be my daily driver on bad days.

Yep, B16 Civic, lowered 2".. Driven in the winter.

The key is just to have snowtires, they fuckin' rock.. They don't even compare to all seasons.

We get lots to snow up here in Canaduh too. Last winter more than a couple of occasions I was driving through snow so deep instead of going under my car, it was going overtop. fun.

i was asking because my parents wont let me have a second car at the house so if i buy something and make it nice it has to weather the winter.
Taking body kits on and off is a bad idea right? So i think the bodykit stays off untill i move out and can have a second car. But snowtires it is.

thanks for all your replies

Removing & isntalling a body 2 times year would not be fun. Get yourself some cheap steel wheels & mount the snow tires to those.
