Yea I liked the movie, I knew from the start that it would not be like the real thing, so going in I didn't expext too much. But it did surprize me a bit. Most of the lingo and car talk was good, except when they spoke of dropping a SR20 into a civic, also when they are driving the truck back to fix the supra, the body kit on top is a front facia for a 1st gen miata, I am anal and notice that kinda stuff Other than those little messups (oh and how a 10sec race last like 5 minutes) the movie was good, and did it's job, entertained me for about 2 hours. I did love when the supra spanked the F355 spyder though, I bet every import freak was hollering "hell yea" like I was. As for my favorite car, it is up between the RX-7 and the Supra, I like them most becuase they were real cars (i.e. the green eclipse was on sale on e-bay, and it was a GS non turbo with just a cat-back under all that green paint and crap IIRC). I would just take off those stupid looking graffic kits of the sides of the cars, then I would take the supra or RX-7. My $.02

MUST BE SMOKIN SOMETHING IF U SAY NETHING OTHER THEN THAT 8 SECOND BLOWN CHARGER

But thats just my opinon i mean realstically that supra was a bad ass ride but it wasnt a 9 second car, and theres no way that that charger was slower then that they ran them next to each other but i dont think many people were fooled, i know the stooopidest car though, that dumb lil del sol on hydralics, what a waste of cash

this is my first post by the way hope i didnt rub neone the wrong way just my opinon

Oh please, this from the movie with minute and a half drag races. That charger was sick! Like trying to drive a finishing nail with a 20lb sledg hammer.

My fave was the Skyline, although it didn't get much play.

It was a fair movie, but let's nitpick at it anyway:

-The Supra's targa roof is not a "latch type" and can't really be unhooked as easy as they made it look; it's snug in place with some heavy duty bolts and takes a few minutes to remove.

-Nitrous oxide is not an explosive, and to my knowledge it burns white, not green (correct me if I'm wrong).

-There's no way a Civic--no matter how low it is--can fit under a semi.

-The SR20s were supposedly used in the "Honda 2000" as well.

Again, the movie wasn't that bad, and probably was pretty exciting for a lot of people. But it's still somewhat of a poor representation of reality. Then again, is Hollywood ever not?

My favorite car, the 240SX. Too bad the GT-R was barely touched (probably a loaner).

I agree, that Charger is balls-out.

I have to say that I liked the Charger for two reasons. First, I loved what they did with it. Second, you can pick up a re-built Charger at some car shows for between 5k-10k. But you need to have the mechanical know-how to operate it.

Nitrous oxide does NOT explode but it does oxidize the burning process of the rest of the car... sort of like throwing oxygen in a fire. Basically a normal fire is a chemical reaction between a carbon compound (fuel) and oxygen (oxidizer)... if you throw oxygen in a fire, the O2 will not actually explode, but will make the fire burn much faster... :bandit:

The charger was like an 11 sec car... the supra has 700hp in real life.

I went to the movie the first night it came out, I just bought my 74 vette. All of the rices were reving their up their pipes "its kinda funny considering thats all that most of them had, an exhaust". I pretty much blew them away since i have no muffler or c-converter, pretty much strait pipes! I reall liked the movie, i wish that they would have put a few more domestic cars in their, because in real live you know that their are always domestics around rice rockets! Also when that charger came about 5 ft off the ground, unless that thing had extremely strong shocks he probably would have lost the whole under carrage! My favorite car was the crown victoria cop car J/K it was the supra!

If the Eclipse would have been a real GSX and 10 sec car, I think that would have been the bestalestest.
