-Eclipse 5504 head unit
-Focal 165k 6.5 components in front
-MB Quart QM 1269KX 6x9 coaxials in rear
-JL Audio 12w3 in custom enclosure
-US Amps Merlin amp (65x4) driving the Focals and MB Quarts
-Kenwood PS200 amp (300x1) driving the 12w3
-Crossfire CFX2R crossover network

It's my first system, and it sounds very nice (nothing over the top though). By the way, do you have to use ALL CAPS ALL THE TIME? It's very hard to read.

Exclamation Sorry to trash this idea, but...

I think a good sound system is wasted in a car like an Integra. Why? The sound-proofing is not that good right off the factory floor. My car is a '94, and the sound-proofing only deteriorates with time; plus my AEM intake and Mugen exhaust create more noise then the factory components, to dish in even more noise. I actually drive with earplugs in most of the time.

I've kept my factory head unit, and connected an Alpine 6-disc changer (housed in the trunk) to the CD interface, so I can listen to Slipknot, Korn, Rob Zombie, David Holmes, and favorite artists of mine while I drive. I like the factory head unit, because who would want to steal it? If I were to get a good sound system, I'd put it in a car like a Lexus, i.e. something whisper-quiet so that I could actually appreciate the clarity of an eight-speaker/200+ watt sound system.

Thats okay to leave the system out but I like to drive and bump my music. I myself have had thought about taking out the system but man no one can beat rollin' up to friends house to pick them up and already having them waiting outside because they heard you a block away. Okay for you people with other things in mind I'll post another idea to get things rollin'

I have:

Pioneer Premier 920R head
Polk dx3055 midranges up front (getting 45W RMS from head)
Polk dx3000 tweeters up front
Stock 6.5s in the rear
Precision Power 2400.2 pumpin 500W RMS mono to a:
MTX Thunder 8000 12" sub

Well...you could probably consider me the king of no-soundproofing. My engine compartment is loud..I've got a custom cai going on and that thing is not quiet by any means. And its not like the ITR has much soundproofing. But the stereo sounds fantastic, and I've never regretted having it. It's great for long trips and when you're stuck in traffic.

Re: What Type Of Systems You Guys Rollin' With

Ok, found the specs for my system, so editing my post.
2001 Integra LS
GM-5000T Pioneer Amp
Two TSW300R 12 inch Pioneer Subs in a typical enclosure
Pioneer Head Unit that plays MP3's/WMV's and has some pretty sweet graphics. The system thumps pretty good, something about the hatchback makes it pretty loud. Need to dynomat my doors and trunk soon and then put in a component set in each door and run them both to an amp that I'll put under the drivers side seat.

Re: What Type Of Systems You Guys Rollin' With

FIrst of all, you dont need a system if you have a screaming vtec motor to listen to. Dont get me wrong I have a nice cd player, rockford 6s, infinites in front, with polk tweets but putting all that money to hear the same song JUST LOUDER is NUTS. When you ride in a 400 + horse power teg you wont need a stereo, trust me.
