Re: spark plug question

Uh, why the hell is a Chevy owner answering this question, INCORRECTLY no less?

NGK PFR6G-11 is standard plug, 5G-11 is the hot plug, and 7G-11 is the cold plug.

Considering how much work it is to replace the #2 and #4 plugs on the SC (you have to remove several intake components) plus the usual #6 plug fuss, think about having the dealer do it. Otherwise, don't buy plugs from the dealer, just find 'em at a local parts store for much cheaper.

Re: spark plug question

/\If you had actually read his post, he asked for the plug part numbers for a supercharged engine vg33er NOT a vg33e which you supplied the plug numbers for.

Think before you post, also just because I'm a Chevy owner does not mean I am illiterate in other manufactures. As a matter of fact if you look in my profile I happen to work the wholesale parts dept for one of the largest Nissan Infiniti dealers in the West.

Re: spark plug question

The factory service manual is not a parts catalog it is purely for reference only. You can take your FSM and shove it up your ass, our catalogs are updated with the newest information on a monthly basis. Nissan does not even use paper FSM's anymore they use ASSIST which is webbased. From Nissan Service Parts Catalog.

Re: spark plug question

OK, so what about the owner's manual for those that don't have access to this oh-so-up-to-date info?

Re: spark plug question

As I said it is for reference only, who are you going to believe Nissan, or the publication company that buys 3rd party information from Nissan to publish manuals and such.

I'm done arguing about this, my main problem was you lashing out at me originally for being so incorrect and what the hell am I doing answering a question in here. I am here to help and I am also here to uphold the guidelines of AF.

So I leave with this I have information about Nissans the average person are not privy to, but since you are so high and mighty here I will not come back here to help ever again.

I should just give you a weeks ban from AF to get your attitude straightend up, but that will not do much good here. I was came across this post and thought I'd help you have lashed out at me so to hell with the Xterra forum. I will not be back.

Re: spark plug question

Oh boo-hoo. I've got FAST too. You have the right NISSAN part number, but the WRONG NGK part number is tied to it. The correct suffix is -11 regardless indicating a 1.1mm gap, premium platinum or not...

John was being WAAAAAAAAAAAAY too nice.

See you in a week. Go visit a dealership while you're on vacation - learn something.

Re: spark plug question

Oh get real! You want to boot me for a week over that? I'm not the one that suggested I shove something up my ass...

I just called my friend at the parts counter at my local dealership and asked him to pull a 22401-1P115 off the shelf. It's an NGK alright, PFR5G-11.

This isn't the first time FAST has had bogus information. Go look up the ratio noted for the final drive gear set for ANY V6 Xterra. They're supposed to be 4.363 (rare), 4.636, or 4.90, but they're all 4.375 if you believe FAST.

Let's agree that we're both right, Shortbus gave the right part number from Nissan's system, but for the majority that would go and buy plugs cheaper from their local store, his info was wrong.

Truce,
Brent

Re: spark plug question

You are still making a big deal over nothing, I gave him the correct part numbers and you jumped down my throat about the NGK numbers superceding to the PFR. Any real parts store will be able to work that supersession out. But at no time which you have so cleary based your argument on have I been wrong

As far as being banned you will remain banned for 1 week, this is non-negotiable. Continue to make alias usernames and they will be banned as well.
