Not that smart on my install

I was screwing around in my front left door panel and now the door lock does not work, this all happened while I was playing with a speaker... So anyone have any ideas what the problem is?

haibane,

I don't want to appear rude so please don't take this the wrong way. You need to provide who every is reading this more informaion if you want to find a solution.

With that being said: If you have power locks then check your wiring. if you were messing with the speakers the wires for the locks are also in that area. if you have the good manual locks then I don't know what to tell you because they are not even in that area other than the lock button. If that is the case make sure you did not disconnect the lock button.

good luck.

Keep on Jeepin!

I took off my door panel today, I did everything I could think of and checked everything... is there some sort of lubricant that maybe won't let it work? but that wouldn't explain why it would not be locked in the lock position. Is their a wrong way to put the panels back on? Is there something I could do with the panel off to check to see if it is something electronical or if it is manual or anything like that?

I have the exact same problem, the electrics work but when replacing the door panel the lock is stuck in the unlock position. It has to be a simple fix and I hope you found the answer.
