volk racing te-37

i posted this in the wheel and tire forum, but that place seems kinda dead so here i go again.
i was just wondering if there's a foolproof way to tell if a wheel is authentic or not? i recently bought a pair of volk racing te-37's 15x7. the reason i ask is because i browsed in ebay and i found a set for sale, and it had a picture of the back of the wheel and it says "rays engineering" stamped on it. My rims do NOT have this.

Also does anyone here have these rims? Can you read the lug pattern anywhere? It says 4x100 stamped on my rims, but the guy i bought them from said they're 4x114.3. the ad that i talked about above also shows the stamp and it says 5x100, but they're listed as 5x114.3. someone please help me! thanks!

Don't you know, it's 10 hp for every sticker, 50 hp extra for every additional inch of rear spoiler behond stock height.

If the surface isn't rough at all (the forged wheels have a bit of texture, the cast rotas are usually much smoother) and it doesn't say rays engineering on the lip along with made in japan, you got screwed.

the feeling of the wheels is rough like you said. also there aren't any markings on the lip of the rims at all. the only markings i see are something like "VIA" and another weird symbol looks like a "JWJ" or something. not quite sure how to explain it. also it says made in japan on the OTHER side of the rim, but no rays engineering.

im not trying to sound like an ass, but if you (seriously no one in particular) don't know what you're talking about, please dont give me bad advice. i got bad advice from someone else about the lug pattern of my rims. thanks in advance for anyone who helps.

I have a set, it is all about the inner labeling on the rim.

Are there any type of labels inside the rim? Do you have any pictures?

Here are some pics I suggest you post up similar.

They should have a serial or Import sticker.

there are no stickers whatsoever on the inner side of the rims. i was just thinking though. can't you just take the stickers off?? ill try to post pics soon. the rims are so nice that i dont know i can bear it if they're fake. ill probably still use them though cuz they really are nice. got that dished look.

Also man, those are pretty light weight rims, imitations probably wont be lightweight cause that would make them expensive and cheap ass companies that make imitations probably wouldnt spend the money to make lightweight rims. Anyways, find out exactly much those rims (the real ones) weigh, and weigh yours. Compare. Hopefully they are real!!
Leo

ofcourse I dont know exaclty what Im talking about but its just an idea.

Re: volk racing te-37

man, I also need help. I just bought some 15.7 volk te 37 bronze from HOP UP RACING out in california. On the back, the stickers are on, but the red one is all crooked. Im pretty sure you can just buy these stickers. But on the back of the rims all it says is VIA, 4X100, 15x7JJ. The lip in the from has VIA JJ printed on it. So how do I know if these are fakes or not? I dont see Rays Engineering stamp anywhere. How much does the 15 X 7 te37s weigh? So far they are pretty heavy. but it can be the tires too, because I have Toyo Proxes FZ4 on them. Can someone email me about this.

Re: volk racing te-37

They have a smooth lip and the spokes are rough texture like. But dont volks come with a stamp or anything? My rims dont show any volk or rays stamp at all. Not on the outside lip or back . Let me know.
