Question Chevrolet Sprint upgrading

I got this Chevrolet Sprint from my aunty as a gift or you can say leftover after she bought her new car.
The Sprint is 1993 or 92 maybe year and 1300cc engine. I was wondering, what upgrades do I need to make so the car can acelerate better (upgrades to the engine i mean.) i need it to get better acceleration because even if i press full gas, it accelerates the same as half gas pressed. Double-clutching works but dangerous. so plz help.

Sprint would be 91 or earlier.

As for squeezing more out of the tiny little engine that was built for economy, you would have better luck squeezing water from a piece of granite.

Enjoy the fuel economy though.

hmm

Not anyway of making the engine boost?? My cousins laugh at my car and i really don't like that so i want to show them american power let it be from an economy car. People here did something with their Daewoo Racers which easily catch up on civics after modifications to the engine. So can I replace the engine with a stronger one, if yes which engine will be suitable?

Re: Chevrolet Sprint upgrading

Look around and see if you can find a turbo. That's what I used to have. 1987 Turbo Sprint. If you can find one it will help quite a bit.

Re: Chevrolet Sprint upgrading

Take yourself and your 1.3 liter sprint for a toddle over to the Geo Metro Forum, it covers sprints/flys/metros. There are people there that will help you out, and there are many other sites as well.
I have several of the 3 cylinder/1 liter cars, and use that forum quite often.

Re: Chevrolet Sprint upgrading

you could buy a new faster car for less than the mods to make it fast. If you really want to have a tubo sprint go for it
