I dont know much about the first gen b16 except they are 160hp 111 torque and come with a cable tranny.
i have a civic si hb 93 and i plan to do a swap cause i can have the b16a1 engine with ecu... for 550$ and i want more power but not too much either. I'm wondering, since my civic has an hydro tanny sys, what change i'll have to do to put the cable transmission. Or Can i just put a B serie hydro tranny to resolve the prob? what is best and what would be the cost of it. And how much i could sell a complete d16z6 swap with 42 750 miles? thanks and sorry for being a newbie... |

Re: help me with tranny choice for b16a1
You would just be better off getting a 2gen b16a with a hydro tranny. You could use the first gen b16a and do one of two things:
1. bolt up a b-series hydro tranny 2. use the cable, but you will need a new pedal assembley. I recommend option one, however it might just be cheaper to buy a second gen b16a. As for you d16 motor, i think you could get around 500 for it. |
