Lightbulb How to cool the center console.

I got a problem with my center console area over heating on my 91 Hatch because of my 2.5 header back. It always warms up real bad and if I drive for a long time it just gets burning even with the a/c blazing. Anyone know how to fix it???

Thanx
Windy

hmm, this is a first. BUt all i can think of is to pull back the carpet and put down some of that heat resistant tin foil looking tape down,( you know the stuff tye use on the underside of hoods.) you know what i'm talking about??

pull the headers out and use some header wrap....it not only helps reduce heat but it also helps the header perform better by keeping heat in and maintaning exh velocity(by keeping heat it)

www.summitracing.com will have the header wrap, but i cant imagine the problem coming from your header on the other side of the engine bay.

I think this would be a more succesful solution. The header doesnt go that far under the car. Whats probably giving off all that heat is the catalytic converter. Have you removed the heat shield or has it rusted off or anything? Anyways, screw the header wrap and get some of that foil shit, just my
