1st gear grind...sometimes!!!

sometimes i have a hard time getting into 1st gear. when coming to a light or when i am at a stop i have a hard time getting into gear. not all the time but sometimes. finally when it goes in which takes alot of pushing, it grinds. could this be the clutch installation being bad,just got a 5spd conversion. also what about the shiftlinkage and syncros(s.p.?)

i know how to make it go into first easier. i had this problem to but it was not because of a mod. i would just put the stick in nuetral and then let out the clutch and then push it back in, and then you should be able to get back into first. if it doesn't work then i am sorry, just tryin to help you out form what i experienced, but yours could be a totally different problem.

yea that shit happens to me when i put it in reverse...u just have to let go of the clutch and try again. good luck

Is the tranny rebuilt?
Did you replace the clutch with the conversion?

Seems like the clutch is the problem
