can i take out the screws to the left and right of the top of the shocks in the engine bay in a 91 crx to put in a strut bar? i am worried that taking those screws off to put on the bar will fuck up the springs and suspension or some shit. can i take them off without running into other problems?

yes young dumb one, you must get the strut bar under those bolts without taking them off. Challenge!

Of course you can. That's the only way you can put a strut bar on in the first place. Won't mess anything up unless you MOVE the car while the nuts aren't screwed tightly onto the bolts. Kinda common sense here on this one.

Also make sure the tires are on the ground not in the air on jackstands or lift.

A strut bar is NOT as necassery as a swaybar is. Not by a long shot. A common misconception is that it can make your car not lean as much in corners. NOT true. A strut bar has nothing to do with body roll, that's completely in the suspension itself, and NOT the chassis or body. The biggest improvement i ever saw in a strut bar was straight line stability. The steering isn't as sloppy on the highway, and steering turn in can be slightly increased, that's about it. It's looks contrabute more than the mentioned mechanical improvements. In short, you're 110% better off getting a swaybar. Think of it this way, it's what you CAN'T see or show off as well that counts.
