I own a 1988 Nissan Pulsar SSS and want to switch the engine for either a SR20DET or a CA18DET. What would be the best option. And will both of them fit into my car.

im pretty sure the sss has an 18le in it, if this is correct then a ca18det will fit perfectly on the engine mounts, while the sr20 would require a custom job which would cost $$$, it would be wild tho. definately the ca18det, you would definately need a new gearbox tho, the standard one would probably last 2minutes

Hey well the SSS is a 2 litre right??? Well as i said to someone just before the SR is a much stronger motor!!! if it will fit u will need new engine mounts nd yes the wiring will cost more than the CA but i would go the SR over the CA anyday i had a 180sx with a CA in it. I had it for 2 months then i blew the motor up running 11psi through it!!! Is that the king of motor u want in ur car??
