Please help with a SuB Question.

Hey there,

I have a a '91 Accord Coupe. I want to know that if i want to install a 12" Sub. This is the 1st time i'm doing this. I need 2 know if i make a box 4 the sub and put it in the trunk, will i get a gud sound ? I do not have a arm rest thing in the rear seat. This guy at a store said just make abox n pop it in the trunk, but as i do not have the arm rest, i dont think i'll get a gud sound, am i right ? I'm also thinking 2 get the thing cut at the rear and have the sub installed inside the car.

Please advice wat should i do, i need the max bass sound i can get.

i had the same car only a 1990 and i had 2 12 inch kicker comp vr's and they sounded great and loud behind the seat in the trunk. i even tried to put the seat down and see if it would make a difference in the loudness or sound but i didn't. it sounded just as good in the trunk with the seat up. you don't need to put it in the car, just put it in the trunk...you will be happy.

Thanx 4 all the help.

Well 4 now, i'm only going 2 get 1 sub installed. Do u think that will b enough if i'm installing it in the trunk ? 2 Subs of course will produce nice n loud sound.

I'm getting a Sony XM-222 Amp & a Pioneer 600W 12" Sub.
I'm on a budget so i can't go into a more x-pensive amp.

Thanks,

it should produce pretty good bass. i haven't heard either the sub or the amp you are getting, but if i had only one of my subs and an amp i know it would still sound pretty good. also if you get a ported box you will get more of a thump.good luck

I have 2 JL's 12 inch in my little civic in a box in the trunk and it sounds good. You have an Accord so the sound will distribute better in your car.

Thanx

Thanx 4 all the replies guys. Looks like i will have 2 get it installed in the trunk after all the advices. I can always shift it inside the car, next to the speakers later if i don't like the sound.

Will let u guys know, how i like it.
