Damn car, help me plz, for am i stumped again

Ok, my hella bad luck car has done it to me again. Last night it wouldnt start at McDonalds, just cranked, wouldn't turn over. Then this afternoon at like 1 pm i went back to it and it did start. So i drove it home, then left like 20 min later and it started fine again. But then leaving my neighborhood goin on to the main road the car just died while i was still in first gear in the middle of the road. I managed to get the car off to the side of the road but then still was only cranking. That was at like 2, then again at like 6 30 i went back, still wouldnt start, i tried pumping the gas alot before and while it was cranking. So we pulled out the spark plug wires to see if there was a spark (not sure if we did it right) and we didnt see a spark. So i went out and bought a new distributor cap and put that on, but it still wouldnt start. So now i have no idea wat it could be unless maybe i flooded the engine with all my gas pumpin i did, cuz i was doing it for like 30 sec straight. Heres some info:

-Battery is Optima Redtop, new
-Alternator is like 1 month old
-Spark plugs/wires are only like 5 months old
-Distributor cap is like 20 min old
-Ecu isn't giving me any codes
-I've never had a problem with the car starting until last night, and it was quite cool outside, then did start in the heat (so i dont think its the main relay)

If anyone has any idea wat the problem could be or if i may have flooded the engine so it just needs time now that the distributor cap is replaced, plz let me know asap.

Try replacing your rotor (and or making damn sure that it's on the post tight)?

So, if your car won't start, and you know the starter is cranking, it's either because of air, spark, or fuel... Throw a timing light on that bitch and see what happens... are you getting a CEL? If you're sure you're getting spark, pull an injector and crank the ignition to see if you're getting fuel. Check your ignition coil by measuring the resistance of the primary and secondary windings... just to name a few ideas of what you might wanna check...

if its a fuel problem, could be fuel filter, if its a spark problem check the ignitor/coil

hey i dunno if this might help but my civic used to stop running when at idle and once stopped running on the freeway. my dad replaced this chip inside the rotor/dist. cap. i forgot what it was called but it was about the size of a half dollar coin and costs about $100. that fixed my problem

if your car still doesn't start check the ECU fuse under the hood

my car would blow that occasionally for REASONS UNKNOWN but it did it like 5 times all at slow speeds i had to keep the revs up to keep it running
did this till i changed main relay GO FIGURE???
