new clutch?
when do i need a new clutch like wat are some signs. also wat is the worst thing that could happen if i ditn replace teh clutch on time .wats a good new type of clutch nothn too stiff just soemthing that i can use for driving and weekend racing.thanks

i dont know too much about this but i know after talking to my friend your clutch needs replacing when it responds like 2 seconds late, for instance when you let go of the clutch to go you dont actually feel it or something for that delay, and i think if your skilled enough and dont need that much leway on the clutch you can try a stage 2 clutch not sure about what brands or anything yet sorry, im still a newb

if you hit the throttle and the rpms go up, but the car doesnt go any faster is one sign.
excessive chattering of the clutch bouncing off the flywheel is another sign. generally inconsistent gripping of the clutch as sensed by the driver when starting from a stop in first gear. if it's not replaced in time, the rivets used to hold the friction material to the disc may contact the friction surface on the flywheel, requiring flywheel replacement or resurfacing (much like brake discs). poor clutch engagement also causes excessive wear on transmission synchronizers and shift forks. |
