gas crisis

a pipeline into the phoenix area is all F'ed up so now we have to get tankers to drivea few hours back and forth from tucson to supply us with fuel. lines at the gas stations have been up to a couple of hours wait, and thats for the few that actually have gas. what realy sucks is that price gouging is legal here in az. we started last week with prices in my side of town at a little under 1.40, now the average is 2.20 and some places are as high as 3.97. i hope they get this thing fixed soon

Cool

A bad situation for sure, thankfully temporary. I wouldn't say they are gouging, the retailers are paying higher freight rates to have it trucked in, and they are only getting a short supply to sell so prices have to be increased to make ends meet. It's just as bad for the marketers as it is for the consumers.

saw $4.29 today.... well, on the news at least

i still have a half a 2 week old tank of $1.21/gal left! w00t!

needless to say.. it sucks, damn environmentalists, if we had our own refinery and everything we wouldn't have this problem. i bet phoenix is the largest city without one...

Thats rough. My guess is most people aren't going to go for to many pleasure drives the next few days.
