Easy, u could find what engine an EX has in it on almost any car site. The 96-00 EX has the D16Z7 SOHC engine rated at 127 hp and 107 lb-ft tq

its a d16y7 and its a 1.6 liter ^^^ hockeycivic99 typed a Z instead of a Y

ah. i knew it was d16y something and a 1.6 L, not not about the "8".

What can I do to tighten a d16y8...or isn't worth building. It doesn't see worth building the 2.2 in my 94 Accord LX (its auto anyway). Are you better off w/ b-series in a Civic?

What should be done to a stock d16y8 with 116,000 to handle a JRSC

nothing it will handle it as long as you have it properly tuned i put mine on at 140,000
