Intakes on DPFI
I've heard it doesnt really help right? Also that like all it really does is just improve on the noise the intake makes. So i mean what i really want to know is if this is true or not? Because Im thinking about just getting an intake just to free up my car's breathing a little.

I would see if you can pick up some side-draft carbs that'd fit that engine instead.

dpfi engines do not respond to mods very well. Your best bet before you start adding bolt ons would be to do a swap to mpfi. there are plenty of how to articles floating around so do a search and you should be able to find some good info.

i think it is a worthwhile mod. A generic short ram intake on ebay can be had for around $30 shipped, and does give the engine that cool sound. I also think i felt a gain when i put mine on ... but we all know that butt dyno isnt too accurate

I felt a SLIGHT improvement on mine above 4500 rpms, but the noise is worth the money
