Hey everyone i have a 94' RS. I had to move the car up into the backyard. i started it up and everything was fine, and then when i got up in the backyard, everytime i hit teh brake the radio/speakers in the back would make this noise, so i figured it was nothing, and the battery need charging. So then i rode around the backyard for a few mins to see if it would stop and it didn't and it just died. Then i tried starting it up again and it just makes a clicking noise...im guessing thatw the battery rite? the battery is kinda old so thats what im guessing...I just wanted to see what other people think it is b4 i go an fix it. thanx in advance

Re: HELP 94' cavalier just died!!!
it sounds like you have either a very low charged battery or that you have a weak connection between the battery and the ground/positive wires. i had my last car do the exact same thing and it ended up being a broken ground wire from the battery where i couldn't even see it. charge the battery up first though

1) let the battery charger longer and try it again...
if it still dies 2) check your ground wires, they may be damaged or just need cleaning, same with the terminals.. 3) if that fails try a new battery.... |
